Social Enterprise at Work

Northwest Center has always been an innovator in addressing the very human needs and rights of people with disabilities. In addition to providing 40 years of breakthrough programs, we have successfully advanced our social mission through entrepreneurial income strategies.

As a social enterprise, Northwest Center uses revenue from businesses we own and operate to sustain services for people with disabilities. Because these businesses successfully underwrite our operations, we are able to put 100% of fundraising dollars toward our critical programs for children and adults.

Northwest Center’s enterprises do far more than sustain operations, however. They provide valuable training and employment opportunities for our clients, who learn work skills and gain independence. The enterprises also help position us for growth as we strive to address the unmet needs in the community. By building all of our income sources, we will be able to develop deeper, stronger relationships with more clients.

When you choose a Northwest Center enterprise, you get the quality goods and services your company needs AND you help us engage the people we serve in the life of our community.
